With the addition of a host of musicians from London’s thriving jazz and session scene; the Collective was born into an evolving line-up including multiple drum kits\, a powerful rhythm section and some ferocious horns. Playing rhythmic music from around the world\, this band draws on a range of traditional and modern genres to bring you passionate groove with a psychedelic edge. \n \nDJ CAPTAIN FLATCAP \nDJ Captain Flatcap plays  multi-genre\, instrumental Electronic Dance Music.Captain’s DJ sets\, is centred around electro swing\, but also includes influences of ska\, funk\, folk and various genres of dance music.

DESCRIPTION:‘‘THE CONGO MEETS CUBA IN AN EXUBERANT EXPLOSION OF MUSIC’\n\n\nGrupo Lokito create a modern-day cocktail of two of the great world musics; Fusing blistering contemporaryCongolese grooves with the fire of Cuban music. The results have audiences dancing in a haze of energy. \nThe glorious melodious vocals ofCongolese front men Eugene Makuta and Iddo \nDonnatella blends with soaring guitars courtesy of Congolese guitar hero Mbokalia ‘Burkina Faso’\, and the lilting keyboards of Latin piano player Sara. All of this sits on top of the rhythmic powerhouse team of Ernesto(drums)\, Emeris (congas)\,Elpidio (bass) and Shyam(rhythm guitar). \nSince their formation in 2006 the bandhave gone from strength to strength\, completing several UK tours and building a solid following. \nInMay 2020 Grupo Lokito were awarded an Arts Council grant to make music during lockdown and the band released three tunes on digital platforms: Yoka!\, ¡Lo QuePasó! and Bolingo Ya Londres. They bring you an explosive party\, spanning Mardi Gras parade anthems to the swampy grooves of Dr John\, via raucous Gospel more suitable for Saturday Night than Sunday Morning. \nWith three percussionists\, a thumping tuba\, as many horns as we can fit on the stage\, and 3 part Gospel harmonies; the Gators bring you infectious grooves\, virtuoso solos and songs you didn’t know you already knew. \nThe Gators love playing raucous speakeasy-style nights at infamous underground cocktail haunts the Oriole and Nightjar; performing for swing dancers at international events; and blasting the roof off at their Jamboree and the Blues Kitchens residencies\, where they keep the brassy party going well into the night. They have performed twice at the EFG London Jazz festival\, Shambala\, Rollright Fayre\, and internationally at The Gatsby Parties. In 2020\, they wowed crowds at West End immersive theatre show ‘Lockdown Town’\, receiving multiple 5* reviews across national media. \nHannah (percussion/vocals) has lived on/off in New Orleans since 2015\, recently studying drums with New Orleans legends Herlin Riley and Shannon Powell. DESCRIPTION:James Riley\, award-winning folk & soul troubadour.\n\n\nAnglo-American and raised in London\, James followed his roots back to Nashville in 2015 for a short trip – which ended up becoming a 2-year odyssey. Whilst in Tennessee he met Grammy-winning producer Matthew Odmark\, and recorded his debut album “Transatlantica”.  \n \nSince returning to the UK\, James has been building towards his the release of his new record\, putting out teaser singles\, creating cinematic music videos\, and through a slew of live shows and festivals including Glastonbury\, Wilderness\, Shrewsbury Folk & Maverick\, slow-burning his way towards national notoriety– and heads have indeed begun turning. The past 18 months have seen James nominated for no fewer than 4 awards – as well as yielding national TV and radio coverage\, and international tours on both sides of the Atlantic.
